Default MSTest v1.0 for PSP

MIB.42 has released MSTest which is a Memory Stick benchmark utility for the PSP.

Heres the info from the coder:

I just got my new SanDisk 2GB MemoryStick Pro ( the light blue one ) and run the R/W tests. Read speed is same as the 512M one ( 14.3 MB/s ), but the write speed dropped a bit compared to the 512M ( 4.3MB/s vs. 5.2MB/s ), but this should be fine and still pretty good...

I also cleaned up the memorystick test program which I attach. Can be interesting to run it on those HDD devices...

Assigned buttons :
X - HELP screen
SELECT - Clear Screen
Up/Down - Change test data size
Shoulder - Test data size +- 1KB
Left/Right - Test data size +- 128KB
Square/Circle - Test data size +- 8MB
Triangle - Change the number of R/W tests
START - Start the tests
During Test :
Square - Cancel Write Test
Triangle - Cancel Read Test

Benchmark by Jonny (coder PMP Mod) to test the speed of memstick/hdd
It basically read video/audio frames and report the speed based on video frames per second.

2GB SanDisk Duo Pro 1556 fps
1GB SanDisk Duo Pro 1555 fps
1GB Sony Yellow 1555 fps
1GB Lexar Duo Pro Black 1229 fps
1GB Lexar Platinum 1222 fps
2GB Sony High Speed Duo Pro 1225 fps
2GB Sony High Speed Duo Pro 952 fps
128MB Sony Blue 834 fps
32MB Sony Duo 544 fps
1GB Sony Duo Pro 380 fps
2GB Sony Black 375 fps
Datel 4GB HDD 78 fps <---- lol

This is read only, but a good indicator!

From some other forums, the speed on HDD is indeed really slow, compared with SanDisk normal memory stick duos, the HDD is about 7 times slower on read and at least twice as slow at write.
( 1.8MB/s vs. 14.3MB/s on read and 1.6MB/s vs. 4+ MB/s )

Just tried this with two Sony 1GB sticks using different data sizes between 4MB and 24MB.

PRO Duo (giga-pack bundled):

Write between 1 and 1.3MB/s

Read between 9.5 and 10MB/s

PRO Duo High Speed:

Write between 5.3 and 6.6MB/s

Read between 8.35 and 8.45MB/s

Seems like the High Speed is only high speed to write.
