The article is a little biased towards the use of iso's and not for all the other reasons to use this firmware. No mention of the recovery mode, no mention of the visualiser, no mention of homebrew capability. This article is quite simply scaremongering.

well actually i gathered the point of the article was to express the ability to use sonys psone emulator to play any psone ISO [nearly] and the article is only concerned with, as the sub-heading implies the PSPs ability to do what some people thought it was meant for from the beginning: making the playstation truly portable...
moreover, i got the impression that the writer was more in favour of the homebrewers side, sony's "farcial relationship" with the homebrew scene.

EDGE is quite possibly my favourite magazine in print, but I dont see htis as being your average EDGE bit of information, it seemslike they have been asked to print it along those lines, rather than that actually being their view of the subject.
Obviously a commercial magazine cannot be seen to condone piracy, but they seem to think that Dark_Alex only does this to allow ISO loading, which is wrong.
Custom firmware allows so much more than normal firmware, maybe next time EDGE will get it right.
