    Default PSP Genesis v0.15 - (Released 17th July 2005)

The best Genesis Emulator for the PSP just got a great update, heres what <a href="http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=6889&page=21&pp=10" target="_blank" >Sougen</a> posted on our forums:

<BLOCKQUOTE>I have put up a new release of PSPGenesis. This is more of a test to see if people still get the random hangs. I've play tested the emulator for a few hours without any hangs so it looks like that bug is possibly fixed now.

The main changes in this version are:

    - Fixed random hangs (hopefully!)
    - switched to pspsdk
    - Save state support
    - Preliminary (unoptimized) Screen Scaling
    - (Really ugly) preliminary source release

Currently you can only save/load to one game slot because I don't have an in-game ui, but this will be resolved soon when I rewrite the ui. Please see the readme for the in-game controls for saving/loading and screen scaling (Yes, I know it is a bit fiddly to use at the moment )

The main things on my list of todo's currently are
    - 6 button support
    - zip files
    - ingame ui
    - display optimisation
    - game compatibility fixes
    - emulator optimisation

In regards to the source code, you will HAVE TO read the README.TXT file just so you understand why the source was released in such a messy state as the password for the source code is in that file.</BLOCKQUOTE>

You can download the release and source code either from the Officail Release Thread <a href="http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=6889&page=21&pp=10" target="_blank" >Here</a> or our PSP Genesis Page Here --> http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/pspgenesis.shtml

Thanks to Sougen for a great new release

I have to applaud your efforts. I tried it on my psp and my gf's and it works well on both, mine is 1.0 hers is 1.5.

I recommend this if you want the sound, it runs very damn well.

    EDIT:
    Ah, forget the problem, I accidently took out the .fnt file.... ^^;
Just added it back in and now I can see it on hers too.

The sound is very damn good for a first release, to be honest this doens't feel like a .1 it's more like a .7

If you guys want sound on genesis emulators, try this, it's great...

    Default Sougen Great Job!

All I can say is WOW! What a release for a 0.1.....at this rate 0.2 should be complete 100% perfect emulation Mad props to you Sougen and feel free to post updates to this whenever you want, we wont mind =)

Is this where we should post a buglist or do you have somewhere we could send bug reports? Also, is this emu running in PAL mode or NTSC? I'm assuming PAL because a rom I tried says that it wont run because it only supports NTSC....... <--- UPDATE......I think i figured this out sorry...use the left and right triggers to switch between countries....USA seems to be NTSC... this really is a nice 1st release
