OK, Ive been thinking about getting a DC again just for homebrew and emulation...
So I would like to know everything about it before I actually purchase one.
How hard is it?
What, in all, do I need?
What are the best emus?
Links to FAQs/tutorials?
Etc.?
Please help me the best you can. ;)

1. Pretty easy. Just download and burn. Visit http://www.DCEvolution.net for premade images.
Creating images is very easy too if you use BootDreams:

2. A Dreamcast and a bunch of CDRs.

Thanks a lot! ;)
I believe i will pick up a used DC in a couple of days...
Do I need a VMU? If so, does it matter what brand?

I would highly recommend trying to buy only actual Sega peripherals wherever possible.
I would also recommend reading this article (http://consolevision.com/dreamcast/tuts/buying/) before buying your DC, too.
EDIT - Also - you don't need a VMU, but it would benefit you to have one or two. Especially if you plan on checking out To-Eleven (an mp3 player whose GUI is entirely within the VMU screen, rather than on the television screen).
