lol, the word "cheers" isn't European...

...It's English (England/U.K. is very independent from the rest of Europe), and Mr.Fishy (above) agrees with me.

Oh, and the Americans stole it for the T.V. program of the same name. So I'm guessing that Americans who say cheers, watched the show "Cheers" on T.V. at some point. :rofl:

Well, when I think of Europe, the first thing that comes to mind is the UK (and Kazakhstan, of course).

And I never watched Cheers. I never got to go to a place where everyone knew my name, unlike Norm (but I wouldnt know that ).

The U.K. isn't the first place most people think of when thinking of Europe, I hardly ever think of it myself (even though I'm sitting/standing on/in it). lol

The 3 countries in Europe I mostly think of when the word Europe is spoken are:

#1 - France
#2 - Italy
#3 - Germany

I can almost guarantee that if I asked 50 people here in the US to name one place in Europe 90% of them would say the UK.

I really think of Europe in two parts, Eastern and Western.

I agree that the UK is more independent than the other European nations, but its still a part of Europe, whether it's independent or not.
