Nope they definetly aint suppose to be there.
if you have one of them magnetic screwdrivers use that to pull the screw out.
I was noticing a noise when I turned around my PSP, and I found out what it was. A screw that holds down the UMD drive came out. It's on the UMD spinner "thingy" because it's magnetic. I hope it will still work. There aren't supposed to be on the UMD "spinner thingy" normally, right?

Ok, I was just afraid that the screw came out of the spinner and that it would come out while playing a UMD.
how would a screw just fall out anyway, have you ever taken your psp apart

No, I just noticed a sound. so I was sayin to myself "Oh sh*t". It's the PSP I bought from Success HK.
Weird what firmware did it come with?
did you get the screw out?

It came with 1.52, so they kept it in stock for like a year.
I took it out with my sisters pliers.
It doesn't matter that much though. I only used the UMD drive for GTA, but now I'm going to start using isos. (Legal of course. )
hmm maybe they replaced the motherboard.Originally Posted by Video_freak

Maybe. Doesn't look like the drive is moving around or anything, so it really doesn't matter to me. The packaging looked unopened, factory closed...
